Pelsbarn Cooling Mat (Tan)

Why We Recommend the Cooling Mat

Cardigan Welsh Corgis may have short legs, but they have a thick double coat that can make it harder for them to cool off, especially during the warmer months. That’s why we like keeping a cooling mat available.

A cooling mat gives your puppy a comfortable place to stretch out and cool down after playing outside, going for a walk, or just enjoying a warm afternoon. Many puppies naturally seek it out when they start feeling warm.

A cooling mat isn’t a substitute for shade, fresh water, or common-sense heat safety, but it can be a helpful way to keep your puppy comfortable.

We’ve found that it’s especially nice after playtime or during the summer when our dogs are looking for a cool place to relax. They typically like to lay on the AC vents! We use and recommend them because it’s a simple item that can help make your Cardigan more comfortable on these warm summer days.
